Just a very quick post today! It’s October 1, also known as Inktober 1. I’m getting ready to begin my first Inktober drawing, so I’m going to share a bit of information from Jake Parker, the creator of Inktober.
First, the rules of the game:
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it online
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2018
4) Repeat
Second, the tools of the game:
For this, I’ll direct you back to the official Inktober site. Here’s information from his website on inking tools. You’ll see pens, inks, paper, and more!
I’ve previously shared the official prompt list for 2018, but here it is again. I hope many of you will decide to give Inktober a try!

Of course, you don’t have to follow the prompt list. It’s provided only as a convenience for those — like me — who aren’t sure what to draw.
Don’t like this prompt list but still don’t know where to start? No problem. A quick online search will provide dozens of different October drawing prompt lists. Whatever you choose, have fun!
Be watching tomorrow for my first official Inktober drawing.
Cannot wait to see your beautiful creations!
BTW…I started reading Silence by Japanese author Shūsaku Endō. 🙂

I will grab my copy and read along. I’m also planning to start Haunting of Hill House in the next few days.
