If At First…

…I think I spent more time wiping off and scrubbing away paint than I did in actually putting paint on the canvas

Oops!

I really loved this painting…until the giant tree happened.

…one week isn’t long, but I have already learned a lot.

I couldn’t get the shapes right. I couldn’t get the colors right. I couldn’t figure out where the lights and darks should go.

…the online art community has room for each of us — no matter what our skill level might be.

I love oil painting because I’m so surprised — and pleased — with the results I’ve achieved.

I should know better…right?

I feel as if I’ve found my artistic calling and passion.
