When I Paint My Masterpiece

Getting Carried Away
…after painting my first mountain range today, I had no idea what to do with the rest of the canvas, so, yep. I just kept painting more mountains.
Another Day…Another Mountain
I was asking myself earlier why I keep painting mountains when they are such a struggle for me. That, of course, is exactly why I keep painting them.
Slowly but Surely
With each painting I do, I realize how far I’ve come in a very short time, and yet I also realize how very far I have to go.

I couldn’t get the shapes right. I couldn’t get the colors right. I couldn’t figure out where the lights and darks should go.
