Today’s “Art Quiz” question is another fairly simple one, I think. I knew the answer because this is a technique that I’ve studied in the past. In fact, I’ve even written a blog post about it showing one of my attempts at using the technique. It wasn’t very good, but it did teach me the principles involved.
So, here’s the question: Which art technique uses light and shadow to define three-dimensional objects?
- Chiaroscuro
- Grisaille
- Impasto
- Oil Painting
I’ll be posting the answer at noon (CST), so check back then!
