Here in the US, we’re celebrating Labor Day today. The holiday is observed on the first Monday of September. It is a celebration of the social and economic achievements of America’s workers. Fittingly, everyone gets a day off from work, and families enjoy barbecues, picnics, and other fun activities.
We’ll be celebrating today, and then tomorrow it will be back to work for my husband, and back to the studio for me. I’ve been spending a lot of time re-organizing my work areas, planning art activities, and taking inventory of my art supplies. I’m looking forward to doing a lot of drawing and painting in the coming weeks, as well as sharing my experiences through blog posts.
So, wherever you are in the world today, I hope you, too, are having a great day! See you tomorrow!
Looking forward to the work ahead!

So am I! I have a few new brushes I’ve bought, and a few other supplies. I’m ready to get back to the studio!

I appreciate all the good thoughts. I’ll be focusing on drawing techniques, improving my oil painting, and learning more about how to use watercolor and gouache. I want to keep things simple — and enjoyable.
